Can you advise the difference between the generation 1 vs. generation 2 of the Bassara hybrid shaft? Thanks.

Asked by: Andrew
It is hard to say 1st vs 2nd generation with the Bassara Hybrid shafts because Mitsubishi did offer some different model Bassara Hybrid shafts. There was the Bassara UL (MR002) which is a 50 gram mid launch .350" tip size shaft. There was also a Bassara hybrid which was 80 to 85 grams and a mid launch shaft. It was also a .350" tip diameter shaft. The most recent ones listed in the 2014 Mitsubishi catalog are the Bassara UL 50 (50 gram shaft) and Bassara E Series hybrid which was a mid 60 to 70 gram weight shaft. Both are mid kick points and .370" tip sizes.

What is "A" flex

Asked by: Daleb61
A flex is a Senior flex shaft which is more flexible then a men's Regular flex. We reference swingspeeds for an A flex between 63 to 76 mph.

Would this hybrid shaft fit Ping G hybrids?

Asked by: Sparky11756
No, the Ping G Hybrid uses a .355" taper tip shaft that will measure .355" at the very tip and taper out to approximately .370" where the shaft exits the top of the hosel. The only .355" taper tip hybrid shaft we have in stock is the Project X Hybrid (TT0063).

Just ordered new idea hybrids with Bassara E series 55x5ct fles lite shafts. Can you give me some more info on the shafts? My swing speed is about 85 to 90.

Asked by: Vic
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page at this link you can read the specifications from the shaft that we stock. The Bassara E series 55x5ct was likely made exclusively for Adams golf and would be a little different then the Bassara shafts that we have available. But its playing characteristics are still going to be very similar. The 55 tells you it weights in the 55 gram weight range. It is a shaft designed to produce a high trajectory. If your swingspeed is 85 to 90 mph with your driver that would put you more into an R flex. The Lite flex being like a senior flex could still be fine assuming you have a smooth swing tempo.

i have a tour edge xcc 3 wood tip size is 335. i want to replace the motor stock shaft 75 grams with  lighter shaft. can i relate the shaft with a Bassara granite 50 gram shaft?

Asked by: my name is sam
Depending on which 50 gram Bassara shaft you are talking about it could work fine. The Bassara E Series shafts test true to flex. Other Bassara 50 gram weight shafts tests as being more flexible then normal and you would need to decide if that is good or bad for you.

When will this shaft be available?

Asked by: Leesan
Actually we do not currently have any of these shafts on order. It is still part of Mitsubishi's product line so we would be able to do a special order for you. It would be best to call Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 and they will be happy to work with you.
