Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki Z Wood Shafts

Based on the FUBUKI™ ZT profile, the Z features a similar bend profile to deliver the same stability in the mid- and butt-sections as the ZT, with a tip designed to promote a higher launch than ZT yet maintain low spin. The Z also features progressive torque and a more standard balance point — making it a very versatile shaft designed to fit a wide range of players and abilities.

Can the shaft be cut to 44 1/2 and still keep a D3 weight when installed in a driver?

Asked by: Gil60
The shaft can be cut for a 44.5" length but whether you can maintain a D3 swingweight depends on what clubhead you have and what grip you are using. You will likely need to add weight to the clubhead. If you shorten a driver from 45.5" to 44.5" you need to add 12 grams of weight to the clubhead to keep the swingweight the same. Also if you change the grip weight that will change the swingweight. A 4 gram change of grip weight is equal to 1 swingweight. If the grip gets 4 grams heavier the swingweight get 1 swingweight lighter. If the grip weight gets 4 grams lighter the swingweight gets 1 swingweight heavier.

What is the difference in the Silver color band and the yellow color band on these shafts? Wanting to replace the Z50 50Ct in a driver and yours are with the silver band vs my shaft has the yellow band.

Asked by: Billygc
The Yellow band means the shaft was made for one of the major manufactures (OEM) and the Silver band means it is an aftermarket version of the shaft. Generally the OEM version will play a little more flexible in the same flex and have a little higher torque then the aftermarket version. Not always but generally.

I have the Srixon Z745 Driver and the Z45 fairway wood...I would like to put the Fubuki Z shaft in them...what do I need to do?

Asked by: Steph
You would either have to remove the existing shafts from the current shaft adaptors (GW0130) or install these shafts into new SG1000 Srixon shaft adaptors.
