Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Shaft Specifications

Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen Iron Shafts is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sand Wedge Test I bought this shaft to try in my sand wedge since I had recently been fitted for a new set of irons with the same shaft. Switching from metal to graphite has made a big difference in my game and I am quite pleased with the results. A slightly different fell from metal, but the adjustment did not take long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price I bought this shaft to replace one that broke when I hit a hidden tree root. The price was right and it shipped very quickly. Due to some medical issues, I haven't been able to play since I repaired the club, but I have no doubt it will perform as well as the OEM shaft that broke.

I'm building a set of Taylormade M2 irons for my daughter. I'm thinking of the Kuro Kage 2nd Gen. Blk, in an A flex which are 73g. I''m looking @ Graphite Design G-Series 73g A flex & Graphite Design G-Tech 77g L/A flex. Would these Shafts work for women?

Asked by: Biff1818
Yes these shafts can work for a women. The A flex more so if she needs a shaft that plays stiffer then a normal L flex. The G-Tech (GD0012) can be trimmed for an L flex or A flex or even in between.

I want to try the sti with the kage black but don't know which one to get, reg or a flex last time I checked my 6i swing speed was 65mph? Using recoil660 f3 now. dvr 95/100 mph any suggestions.

Asked by: Joseph
The other reference we use for iron shaft flex is which iron do you use from 150 yards. We reference an 8 iron from 150 yards for an S flex, 7 iron from 150 yards for R flex and 6 iron for an A flex. Your driver swingspeed indicates and S flex but not all players fit into the same flex shaft with their woods and irons.

How would this shaft compare to the project x 6.0 steel shaft

Asked by: Jase24
Obviously the weight difference will be the biggest difference you will notice but the S flex Kuro Kage will still play quite a bit more flexible then the Project X 6.0.

I intend to change the shafts in my TM M2 irons (4 - PW). Current shafts are KBS C Taper in stiff flex. Will the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage black 2nd Gen work? Will Golfworks remove KBS shafts and reinstall new shafts, and grips? Can I get a cost estimate?

Asked by: Double Ace
Yes, the Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen irons will fit into the M2 irons. The cost to remove your iron shafts and install new shafts and grips is $19.95 per club over the cost of the components. Please call our customer service department if you have any questions and they can explain the process in greater detail.

I play Titleist DCI Oversized+ with Titleist Tri Spec stiff shafts. Will the Black 2nd Generation Reg fit these clubs?

Asked by: Frank
If your DCI Oversize+ irons have Tri-Spec Steel shafts the Kuro Kage shafts will not fit. If you irons had the Tri-Spec graphite shafts the Kuro Kage shafts will fit. Titleist used .355" tip size shafts in steel and .370" parallel tips in graphite in these DCI Oversize+ irons.

Can you buy these shafts in sets like 4-pw ?

Asked by: ricky
These are a .370" parallel tip design shaft and they all start at 42" raw length and would be tip and butt trimmed for the 4 - PW set when you get them. You would order 7 shafts. If you would like the shaft prepped for a 4 - PW then check the Tip & Butt Trimming box and we will prep the shafts for your set. The cost for tip & butt trimming is $4.95 per shaft.

What is the difference between - Graphite Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Black Low Balance Iron 65 Shaft and the Graphite Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Black Iron 65 Shaft

Asked by: Irisho
I do not have any specifications from the original 65 gram weight versions of these shafts to be able to compare and see any changes. With the 70 gram weight version Kuro Kage Black (MR0033) that we originally had and the new Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen (MR0046) the specifications are very similar to the point you could say they are the same shaft with just a name change. The balance points are slightly low of center with both versions.
