Ping ID-8 Golf Grip Specifications

Ping ID-8 Golf Grip is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Grips These grips are absolutely amazing! Texture-wise they're about halfway between an aggressive cord grip or GP Decade and a Tour Velvet. They have a rib which is nice to slot in your fingers. Love that they come in different sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Positive Feeling I've tried a number of grips trying to acheive a soft but self, positive feeling when gripping the club. This grip did it all for me. I also with the positive feeling am sure it helped my game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ping grip I bought an old g10 4 wood head, had an old graphite shaft pulled, and was looking for a nice, inexpensive grip to finish the club. This grip has more than met my needs. Feels good in hand, I like the decals/design, right amount of tackiness for my game. Nice grip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these ribbed grips The texture of this grip is great. It is almost like a crossline grip, but with more grabbing power. Also, with the rib it feels a bit larger, which I like. I have this on all of my clubs even the clubs that aren't Ping clubs.

I'm currently playing these grips as stock on my G20 irons. Looking for something similarly tacky but a bit softer, what would you recommend?

Asked by: The Steel
All the Ping grips are going to have the same firmness. You might look at the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Super Tack (GP0103) or the Golf Pride CP2 Pro (GP0107) grips. The CP2 for sure will have a softer feel. https://www.golfworks.com/golf-pride-cp2-pro-grip/p/GP0107/ https://www.golfworks.com/golf-pride-tour-velvet-super-tack-golf-grips/p/GP0103/

How many grips in a set?

Asked by: Willard
If you order a grip kit, you will receive 13 grips. You can order grips individually, in any quantity, if 13 is not the number you need. The kit comes with the 13 grips and the supplies you need to install. The kits price are the cost of the grips plus $8.00 for the kit supplies.

Before installation, I can't tell which side on the grip has the ribbed core. Is it the side opposite the the white/red lines in the rectangular box as shown in the picture?

Asked by: Helge2
Yes the rib is always on the back side of the grip or as you say the opposite side from the white and red lines and the Ping name. If you hold the grip up to a light and look through the grip from the small hole at the top end you can see the rib.

Do you have the id-8 reminder grips in aqua - 1/64" undersize

Asked by: Crowbar
No we do not have the ID-8 ribbed grip in aqua - 1/64" undersize. The aqua - 1/64" is only available in the 360 ID-8 round grip (PG0022). You could use our Grip Rib Pack (GW0017) to install you own rib using the 360 grips. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-grip-rib-pack/p/GW0017/

Was wondering if these Ping grips are the same as the original ones installed on new Ping clubs? Thanks.

Asked by: Dave
These are original Ping grips. Ping does use different grips on different model clubs and we stock a few different model Ping grips. Here is the link for all the different Ping grips we stock. http://www.golfworks.com/ping/c/10019/?pc=3

Is there a sizing chart to determine if I could benefit from a oversize grip? I am playing standard grips today.

Asked by: Mitch
We find that the grip sizing charts do not work for checking the correct grip size. If you grip one of your current clubs and then remove your lower hand and look at the top hand grip. If your middle 2 fingers are just touching the pad of your hand and the grip pressure is comfortable the grip size would be correct. If your fingers are digging into your palm the grip size is to small and if there is a gap between your fingers and palm the grip size is to large. Most golf retailers will have grip sizing samples in their stores. It could be a good idea to stop into a store and have your grip size checked.
