Ping Putter Grip Specifications

Ping PP58 Cord Putter Grips is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Feel, Sensitive, Full Cord I purchased this PING full corded grip for my Ping Isopur Ally 1 putter. The full corded grip saved the game recently when it started raining. The grip is very, very high quality. It's most likely made by Golf Pride for Ping since they have used that grip on all their clubs since their beginning. Here in Indiana it rains frequently so these full corded grips really make a difference. You get exceptional hand traction even when soaking wet unlike many of the smooth rubber ones. That's why the pros use these and why they cost a premium. They are worth every penny OMO!

the standard Ping Putter grip is 58g the midsize is 85g. If I change from a std. to mid do I need to add weigh to maintain the correct swing weight?

Asked by: Ben
You would need to add weight to maintain the same swingweight as you had with the 58 gram grip. 4 grams of grip weight is equal to 1 swingweight. You would be between 6 and 7 swingweights lighter with the heavier 85 gram weight mid size grip. 2 grams of clubhead weight is equal to 1 swingweight so you would have to add 12 to 14 grams of weight to the clubhead to get back to your same swingweight.

What is the difference between standard and mid size for this model?

Asked by: Tom P
Because of the unique shape of putter grips, there really isn't a way to identify a putter grip by a measured size. I would estimate the midsize Ping PP58 cord grip is about .040" larger than the standard size. The weight of the midsize grip is 27g heavier than the standard.
