Project X Graphite Wood Shaft Specifications

Project X Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I bought this shaft to reduce the spin rate of my drives from almost 4000 rpm to about 3000rpm. I love how this shaft releases at the right moment but I hooked the ball with my Titleist 910 D3 in the draw setting. I changed it to a neutral setting and now my drive went from 255 yds( Diamana Ahina shaft) to 275 plus yds (Project X 6.5). Fix your swing, get your numbers, find the right shaft for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ping G30 Driver I had this particular shaft in a previous driver and was excellent so I purchased it for my Ping G30 and it appeared to have more flex than I liked. Never the less I am keeping it in case my swing speed reduces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding feel and impact stability Went with this for my Ping i20 driver instead of PX black. The feel during the unloading of this shaft is unreal, and the stability, and again the feel through impact makes ballstriking amazingly consistent no matter how hard you might happen to get on it for a few extra yards. Puts the off the rack shaft options to shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Project X 6.0 I had played the 5.5 in two Adams hybrids and they really performed well. So, I decided to takeout the $200+ wholesale shaft and try the $59.99. It really has worked great with extra roll and flatter ball flight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Project X Black 6.5 Ordered this shaft as an upgrade from Ping for my G 30 Driver. Not a very good shaft. I had a pro shop check the specs and they were way off. The specs worked out to be the same as a regular not stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great golf shaft I bought the 5.0 to replace the Project X Tour(reg) shaft on my Callaway driver and 3 wood. I am a senior golfer and wanted a little more flex in the shaft. It was the perfect change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft Bought the 6.5 shaft for my New Maltby KE4 ST-2A Driver. I wanted a lower spin rate and lower ball flight. The balance feels so good in my hands Now I just need one for my 3 wood.

Is there another shaft you would recommend for the R1 that fits the R1 adaptor with a lower launch and spin?

Asked by: MJDDawg
Not in a .350" tip size that will fit the R1 shaft adaptor. The NV 65 (1205W35) and the NVS 65 (AL0001W) are the only .350" tip size wood shafts we stock. The NVS is designed for a mid launch.

I currently use the fujikura fuel 60g shaft in my R1 but the launch is a little too high and no roll. Will this shaft fit the R1 adaptor and provide less launch and more roll?

Asked by: MJDDawg
The TM R1 driver used a .350" tip size shaft and the Project X graphite wood shaft will not fit the stock adaptor. The Project X wood shaft is designed to create a low ball flight and will play a little stiffer then the stock Fuel shaft in the R1 driver. It could create a ball flight that is to low. You would need to use the BB9065 shaft adaptor to install the Project X shaft into the R1 driver. We do stock the Aldila NV 65 in a .350" tip size (1205W35) that would fit the original R1 shaft adaptor and would give you a lower ball flight compared to the Fuel 60 but not quite as low as the Project X.

I am 66 yrs old & have a 9.1 index. My swing speed is down to 83mph. I play regular steel irons. Went to regular in driver. Hit on a monitor this year & hit stiff 15-20 yds further. Love the PX Blue. 5.0 or 5.5?

Asked by: JBoD
5.5 would be considered standard S flex. 5.0 would be a soft S flex, or strong R flex. 4.5 is considered standard R flex.

I have a Project X shaft PXv58 that says regular and 5.5 what is the flex and which new project x shaft would be close to it.

Asked by: mrbhb1
5.5 in the Project X wood shaft is a Stiff Flex. The PXv58 was a lighter weight Project X shaft with a mid bend point. We do not have any Project X wood shaft that would match up to those specifications. A shaft like the Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen 50 (MR0044) has similar specifications. https://www.golfworks.com/mitsubishi-rayon-kuro-kage-black-hbp-2nd-gen-wood-shafts/p/MR0044/
