Project X Graphite Wood Shaft Specifications

Project X Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I bought this shaft to reduce the spin rate of my drives from almost 4000 rpm to about 3000rpm. I love how this shaft releases at the right moment but I hooked the ball with my Titleist 910 D3 in the draw setting. I changed it to a neutral setting and now my drive went from 255 yds( Diamana Ahina shaft) to 275 plus yds (Project X 6.5). Fix your swing, get your numbers, find the right shaft for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ping G30 Driver I had this particular shaft in a previous driver and was excellent so I purchased it for my Ping G30 and it appeared to have more flex than I liked. Never the less I am keeping it in case my swing speed reduces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Project X 6.0 I had played the 5.5 in two Adams hybrids and they really performed well. So, I decided to takeout the $200+ wholesale shaft and try the $59.99. It really has worked great with extra roll and flatter ball flight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Project X Black 6.5 Ordered this shaft as an upgrade from Ping for my G 30 Driver. Not a very good shaft. I had a pro shop check the specs and they were way off. The specs worked out to be the same as a regular not stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great golf shaft I bought the 5.0 to replace the Project X Tour(reg) shaft on my Callaway driver and 3 wood. I am a senior golfer and wanted a little more flex in the shaft. It was the perfect change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I have used the project X shafts for a few years. I'm a long time fan of Royal Shafts and very glad to see true temper company maintain the same quality.

if i use 5.5 in my irons is it quite normal to have 6.0 in my driver

Asked by: nigel
This is more common than people realize. I have worked with a lot of players over the years who use stiffer flex shafts in their driver then their irons.

My TM SLDR speeder has 3.4° torque and my goal is to feel the shaft loading at the top and have more whip through the impact zone for more distance, am I on point by saying the PX 5.0 will provide that feel w/o losing accuracy/distance. Please advise.

Asked by: jeff55
You are going to get more feel from shaft flex then shaft torque. A shaft actually torques less when you swing the club then it does statically. I think the Project X 5.0 could be a good choice to help you accomplish what you are looking for.

my TM SLDR has stock speeder 57 and think its too stiff. I have PX 5.5 in mizuno pro 825 and thought a PX 5.0 for 1W, 5.5 for 3w and a 6.5 for the 3&4 hybrids might work, I hit the speeder ok and wonder if 5.0 would fit my swing better. Please advise.

Asked by: jeff55
Yes the Project X 5.0 could work well. It is a little unusual to see someone change the shaft flexes for fairway woods and hybrids but it certainly could work. Changing shaft weight for fairway woods and hybrids is fairly common.

can i order a drivers shaft only (no tip)

Asked by: scooter
Yes you can order the shaft without a shaft adapter. You always order the shaft and the shaft adapter separately. We never include the shaft adapters with the shaft.

Hello, can you tell me some of the differences between an Fuji Speeder 57 and a Project X PX v 6.0 both in a stiff flex and their quality. For use in a Taylor Made SLDR mini driver. Thanks

Asked by: GOLFMAN
The Speeder 57 was a shaft made exclusively for Taylor Made and I do not have any specifications other then the weight which was in the 57 gram weight range. I would expect if to be a mid bend point shaft with mid range torque. There was a Project X Pxv that was designed for Callaway that was a mid bend point that weighted 60 grams for the S flex. If this is the shaft you are asking about it should play similar to the Speeder 57. Quality from one manufacture to the other on this type of shaft would be very similar, and both are very good graphite shaft manufactures. We stocked the Project X Pxv Tour 52, which was designed for a higher ball flight and the Project X Pxv Tour 70 which was designed for a low ball flight. The numbers represent the approximate shaft weights.

I have a black 5.5 project X in my ping I20 driver and love it.  I would like to duplicate that feel in my ping G30 3 wood. The picture of the shaft looks blue? What info do you need for me to place order? I at least need the ping adapter  and maybe puri

Asked by: Robman
There use to be a Black Project X shaft that was different then the Blue Project X. The Black Project X was discontinued. The Black Project X was a high bend point stiff tip shaft designed for a lower ball flight and the Blue Project X is a mid bend point medium tip stiffness for a mid ball flight. The G30 uses the PGC002 shaft adapter. http://www.golfworks.com/ping-g30-series-shaft-adaptor/p/PGC002/

does the project x 5.5 graphite driver shaft come with the adapter on it to fit a cobra bio cell smart pad or pro driver I,m a 74 year old former tour player that needs a regular shaft now my current 6.0 shaft is 62 g

Asked by: tom 3
You would need to order the Cobra shaft adapter separately. The BB9079 shaft adapter will work with the drivers you have. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-universal-cobra-adaptors/p/BB9079/
