Project X Graphite Wood Shaft Specifications

Project X Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I bought this shaft to reduce the spin rate of my drives from almost 4000 rpm to about 3000rpm. I love how this shaft releases at the right moment but I hooked the ball with my Titleist 910 D3 in the draw setting. I changed it to a neutral setting and now my drive went from 255 yds( Diamana Ahina shaft) to 275 plus yds (Project X 6.5). Fix your swing, get your numbers, find the right shaft for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding feel and impact stability Went with this for my Ping i20 driver instead of PX black. The feel during the unloading of this shaft is unreal, and the stability, and again the feel through impact makes ballstriking amazingly consistent no matter how hard you might happen to get on it for a few extra yards. Puts the off the rack shaft options to shame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ping G30 Driver I had this particular shaft in a previous driver and was excellent so I purchased it for my Ping G30 and it appeared to have more flex than I liked. Never the less I am keeping it in case my swing speed reduces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Project X 6.0 I had played the 5.5 in two Adams hybrids and they really performed well. So, I decided to takeout the $200+ wholesale shaft and try the $59.99. It really has worked great with extra roll and flatter ball flight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Project X Black 6.5 Ordered this shaft as an upgrade from Ping for my G 30 Driver. Not a very good shaft. I had a pro shop check the specs and they were way off. The specs worked out to be the same as a regular not stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great golf shaft I bought the 5.0 to replace the Project X Tour(reg) shaft on my Callaway driver and 3 wood. I am a senior golfer and wanted a little more flex in the shaft. It was the perfect change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft Bought the 6.5 shaft for my New Maltby KE4 ST-2A Driver. I wanted a lower spin rate and lower ball flight. The balance feels so good in my hands Now I just need one for my 3 wood.

Asked by: Rocket
The lowest trajectory Senior flex shaft would be the Aldila NV 55 A (AL202201) which is listed as a low/mid trajectory shaft. https://www.golfworks.com/aldila-nv-graphite-wood-shaft/p/1205W/

Good morning.Do you have project x 5.0 px v 43 for Callaway .

No we do not have the Project X 5.0 PxV 43 shaft. That shaft was made exclusively for Callaway. You would have to check with Callaway to see if this shaft is available.

I'm currently hitting uniflex steel shafts in my irons. I'm hitting them great, straight, and far. I'm hittin a ping i25 driver with a standard shaft. Wondering if the X 5.0 or 5.5 would be a fit for me?

Asked by: fredsan20
The Project X 5.0 flex is between an R and S flex and a Uniflex shaft is generally considered between an R and S flex.

Are the 5.5 project x graphite shafts considered between a stiff and regular flex for both the irons and woods or is there a difference?

Asked by: Howard
The 5.5 is considered the Stiff flex in both the Project X graphite woods and irons. The 5.0 is between an R and S flex and in the irons the 4.5 is the R flex.

I have a px black 5.5 that if I'm swinging perfect goes 280ish. is the blue 5.5 a little softer or should I use a 5.0?

Asked by: Ozzie626
The PX Black was a high bend point stiff tip design to create a low trajectory. The PX Blue in the 5.0 and 5.5 flexes is a mid bend point medium tip stiff shaft designed to create a mid trajectory. The PX Blue 5.5 tested approximately a full flex more flexible in our testing then the PX Black 5.5 flex.

Is there another shaft you would recommend for the R1 that fits the R1 adaptor with a lower launch and spin?

Asked by: MJDDawg
Not in a .350" tip size that will fit the R1 shaft adaptor. The NV 65 (1205W35) and the NVS 65 (AL0001W) are the only .350" tip size wood shafts we stock. The NVS is designed for a mid launch.
