Can I put a 37" shaft of a 9 iron Into a pitching wedge that uses a 36"1/2 ?

Asked by: Smegan68
Yes you can use the 9 iron shaft in the PW. It will make it play just slightly stiffer which should not create a problem with the PW.

Hi When will the PXI 6.0 40 and 39.5" shafts be back in stock?

Asked by: Ron
We have discontinued the Project X Pxi shafts and will not be getting these back in stock. They are still shown on Royal Precisions web site so we should be able to special order these shafts for you. You will need to contact our Customer Service Department at golfworks@golfworks.com or by calling 1-800-848-8358.

Hi! The length of the shaft provided; is that the club length when installed on the iron? I want a 3 iron shaft with final club length 40".

Asked by: kaarby
In the Project X Pxi shafts the 40" raw length shaft is the 3 iron shaft. You will install the shaft and butt cut to your 40" finished length. Depending on which irons you play a 40" raw length shaft will produce a finished length of 41" to 41.25" in most iron head designs. You will need to butt cut to your 40" finished length.

Hi, do these pxi shafts come in a parallel tip ?

Asked by: Craigd
No, the Project X Pxi iron shafts were only manufactured with a .355" taper tip. You can use a SHIM15 to shim into a .370" hosel bore. http://www.golfworks.ca/the-golfworks-brass-adaptor-shims/p/SHIM/

I currently play DG S300 and I want the PXi to replace my 4 and 5 iron. What flex and length that I need to buy. Thank you.

Asked by: Andy
The 6.0 flex PXi iron shafts would be similar in flex to the DG S300 shafts. These shafts are discontinued so the #5 iron shaft is no longer available. You could purchase the #3 (40") and the #4 (39.5") shafts and simply put the 40" shaft in the #4 iron and the 39.5" shaft in the #5 iron. This would result in a flex that is about 1/4 flex softer than the intended flex which isn't that noticeable and often preferred in the longer irons.

I want to put new shafts in a set of Callaway X 14 Pro Series irons with the bore-through shaft. The original shafts were rifle Constant Weight shafts. I know that Rifle Shafts are now produced by Project X. Please make several shaft recommendations.

Asked by: Duke 0444
The Callaway X 14 Pro Series irons use a .370" parallel tip shaft. Callaway cuts slots in the tip end of the shaft to compress the tip size down to .350" to install in their bore through irons. Sometimes .355" taper tip shafts will fit but you may still have to slot the tips to compress the shaft tip to go through the bottom. If you are looking for lighter weight shaft and a lower ball flight the Project X Pxi shafts could work well. It would help to know what you are wanting the new shafts to do for you. Again in a lighter weight shaft the KBS Tour 90, which is available in the .370" parallel tip could be a good choice and should give you a little higher ball flight. Another shaft choice could be the Nippon N.S. Pro 950GH. With all these shafts you can read the shaft specifications by scrolling down to the bottom of the page at these links. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_TT0085 http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=FS0024 http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_NP0011
