Project X Rifle Flighted Steel Iron Shaft Set is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better performance than DGS 300 Have been playing Adams Pro Gold with flighted Proj X 6.0 for 1.5 yrs. A tad stiffer than my previous Mizuno MP-30 w/ DGS 300, and much better consistency for me (5i = 90 mph). It will take a lot for me to change out of these shafts.

I have been playing the Rifle 6.5 flighted irons and would like to find the same (or comparable) shaft for my 2-iron. Does Rifle make a shaft length for a standard 2-iron?

Asked by: daniel
The Project X Flighted Rifle shaft has been discontinued and we no longer have any individual shafts available. The standard Project X (RP0009I) would be the closest replacement available these days. http://www.golfworks.com/project-x-rifle-taper-tip-iron-shafts/p/RP0009I/

Hi there Is the non flighted Project X still available? i also hear today's PX is not like the original one. comment please

Asked by: Lindile
Yes the non Flighted Project X shaft are available. You will find them at this link. http://www.golfworks.com/project-x-rifle-steel-iron-set/p/TRPXISET/ http://www.golfworks.com/project-x-rifle-taper-tip-iron-shafts/p/RP0009I/ Any changes from the Original brushed finished Project X to the new high polished chrome version were very subtle, nothing major. They basically will play the same.

How can you tell if a shaft is flighted or not by appearance? I am looking to replace a shaft in my 9 iron, 5.5 flighted was original but not sure if shaft im seeing is flighted or not.

Asked by: Moon
With a stepless shaft you basically cannot tell the difference by simply looking it the shaft. The differences between the flighted and non flighter Rifle are not that drastic. With the flighted shaft they varied the parallel butt section length of the shafts but I do not have any measurement as to just what these lengths were.

Just bought a set of Titleist 716 CB. Swing speed with a driver is around 112mph. I swing xstiff shafts in my woods. I hit the ball high. Been told to look in to Project X shafts, just don't know which ones to get. With the info provided, any suggestions?

Asked by: Cak24
Royal Precision referenced 6.5 (X flex) for a 5 iron carry distance of 185 to 200 yards with an average swing tempo and 7.0 (X+ flex) for a fast tempo in the 185 to 200 yard range. They reference a 6.0 for carry distances in the 170 to 185 range with a 5 iron.

I bent my 5-iron shaft. I have a 3-iron that I don't carry. Can I have the shaft from my 3-iron put into my 5-iron?

Asked by: Mola59
If you install the 3 iron shaft into the 5 iron and butt cut the shaft to the finished length of the 5 iron the shaft will play a little more then a half a flex more flexible then it is now. The Rifle Flighted 95 iron shafts were discontinued and the Project X (RP0009I) would be the closest replacement these days. http://www.golfworks.com/project-x-rifle-taper-tip-iron-shafts/p/RP0009I/

I just bought a set of M2 irons 4 - Gap and was wanting to put the 5.5 shafts in the heads. Is this a good combination, and can you pure the shafts so I can get a local pro to put the shafts in my heads?

Asked by: rebel1
As long as the specification of the shaft fit you they will work well with the M2 irons. Yes we can Pure the shafts.
