Trimming Instructions

Project X Rifle Taper Tip Iron Shafts is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth accurate and powerful. For my KING Forged TEC Irons, I replaced KBS Tour 110g stiff with Project X 5.5 shafts. I also installed sensicore dampening inserts and had the shafts SST pured. Clubs feel FANTASTIC. Contact feels like butter. Everything came off soft yet with authority. im a full club stronger and more importantly, very accurate compared to the KBS shaft. It took the front 9 to rediscover distances. Very happy with the results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Project X Rifle Flighted 6.0 Changed from Dynamic Gold S300 to the 6.0 Rifle Flighted. Good quality shafts, stiffer than my DG S300's. Spined them and there were some shafts with a mild spine and some with a more prominent spine. Overall a good shaft, haven't played them long enough to have a feel regarding the trajectory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Project X Rifle Shaft 5.0 My only complaint is that the golf works didn't offer the 4.0 or the 4.5 shaft. My opinion is that unless you are a low handicap player and strong the 5.0 version is too strong of a shaft for most of us...! Would I recommend this product? Yes but the correct shaft number for the average player.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick & Efficient Needed a 5 iron shaft ASAP - ordered on a Sunday afternoon, received it on Wednesday and in my bag for a tournament on Thursday. Fast shipping and very simple to order. will come here again to order any shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shafts on the market. You can really feel the shaft release at impact. Have them in woods irons wedges. 6.0 stiff.

What are lengths?  If I'm buying these, would want them to be 1/2 inch long. Thanks!

Asked by: Alex
Just purchase the recommended lengths for each iron. The raw length of these shafts are plenty long enough to handle 1/2" longer.

what length are these shafts ?

Asked by: Lars Golfer
The raw lengths start at 41.5" for the 1 iron shaft and progress down in 1/2" increments down to 37" for the wedge shaft. 1 = 41.5" 2 = 41" 3 = 40.5" 4 = 40" 5 = 39.5" 6 = 39" 7 = 38.5" 8 = 38" 9 = 37.5" W = 37"

yes ! I have AP2 forges Titleist < I like to chang to Project X LZ ! wich one should I replace I am 62 year old <

Asked by: veo BEE
From your previous question. If you are saying your clubhead speed is 99 mph with an iron then a 5.0 would be to flexible. The 5.0 is between an R and S flex. the 6.0 between and S and X flex would fit the 99 mph iron swingspeed better. If you hit an 7 iron from 150 yards the 5.0 would be a good choice and if you hit an 8 iron from 150 yards the 5.5 would be a better choice.

I am looking to change the shafts in mizuno mp52 looks for a mid to high trajectory for my 5-pw would the project x rifle or kbs tour v work better?

Asked by: Miguel
Project X shafts are designed for a low trajectory and the KBS Tour V is designed for a mid trajectory. The KBS Tour 105 is designed for for a mid/high trajectory and might also be a good choice.

Do you carry 4.0 Project x shafts. My swing speed is 75mph and I am 60 years old. If not what shaft and flex would you recommend? Regards, Richard Olmstead

Asked by: Blue
No, Royal Precision does not manufacture the Project X in a 4.0 flex. 5.0 is the most flexible flex they offer.

I just bought a set of Taylor made psi irons they have kbs shafts in them I want to put in project x shafts in them what ones can I use

Asked by: Rodnay
The Taylor Made Psi irons use a .370" parallel tip shaft so to install the Project X steel shafts, which are .355" taper tips, you will need to shim the shafts to properly fit the hosel. Our SHIMT (.355" - .370") works well for this assembly. https://www.golfworks.ca/the-golfworks-brass-adaptor-shims/p/SHIM/
