Project X Rifle Taper Tip Iron Shafts is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth accurate and powerful. For my KING Forged TEC Irons, I replaced KBS Tour 110g stiff with Project X 5.5 shafts. I also installed sensicore dampening inserts and had the shafts SST pured. Clubs feel FANTASTIC. Contact feels like butter. Everything came off soft yet with authority. im a full club stronger and more importantly, very accurate compared to the KBS shaft. It took the front 9 to rediscover distances. Very happy with the results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Project X Rifle Flighted 6.0 Changed from Dynamic Gold S300 to the 6.0 Rifle Flighted. Good quality shafts, stiffer than my DG S300's. Spined them and there were some shafts with a mild spine and some with a more prominent spine. Overall a good shaft, haven't played them long enough to have a feel regarding the trajectory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Project X Rifle Shaft 5.0 My only complaint is that the golf works didn't offer the 4.0 or the 4.5 shaft. My opinion is that unless you are a low handicap player and strong the 5.0 version is too strong of a shaft for most of us...! Would I recommend this product? Yes but the correct shaft number for the average player.

I need a 7 iron shaft for a Calloway x hot pro series. The shaft has the number 95 on it and the word flighted on it. Is that shaft available?

Asked by: Paul
Callaway used the Project X 95 Flighted shaft in the X Hot Pro Series irons. This shaft has been discontinued by Royal Precision and is no longer available. I would suggest a shaft like the KBS Tour 105 (FS0041) as a good replacement for this shaft. The 7 iron shaft is the 38.5" raw length shaft. You will install the shaft and cut to the finished length from the butt end. https://www.golfworks.com/kbs-tour-105-taper-tip-iron-shafts/p/FS0041/

what is the weight of these shafts

Asked by: Jackfly
Depends on the flex. At this link if you scroll down the page you will see the specification box and the weights are listed for these shafts. https://www.golfworks.com/project-x-rifle-taper-tip-iron-shafts/p/RP0009I/ 5.0 = 115 grams 5.5 = 115 grams 6.0 = 120 grams 6.5 = 125 grams

I have some mizuno mp4's with dynamic gold x100 soft stepped shafts. I was wanting to change them to the project x 5.5 flighted and pured. Would there be much of a difference in them and what size would I need to order? Thanks.

Asked by: Brad
The 5.5 Project X Flighted Rifle would play a little more flexible and is approximately 10 grams lighter in weight then the DG X100. You need .355" taper tips for the Mizuno MP 4 irons.

I have flighted 6.0 in my irons 4-pw. I am wanting to shaft my gw, sw, and lw with these as well but I'm concerned that these are not flighted like the rest of my set. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Brad
The Project X is still going to be your closest match to the Project X Flighted shafts. Any differences in the wedge shafts would be very minor. It would be a bigger factor in the long and mid irons then the wedges.

Can I use a longer (4 iron) project x 6.0 shaft I have leftover in inventory to replace my bent 6 iron shaft, butt cutting it to proper length?

Asked by: markymark
Installing the 4 iron shaft into the 6 iron would make the shaft play approximately 6 to 8 cpm's more flexible then it's listed 6.0 flex or in the 5.2 to 5.4 frequency range.

I am looking at replacing the shafts in a set of Cobra One Length irons.  I had the set to 7-iron length.  Would the 6.0 fit these irons? When ordering would I just order all 7 iron shafts or order one of each and cut them down to 7 iron length.  Thanks.

Asked by: jatodd82
If you have the King One Length irons they use a .370" parallel tip shaft. You would need to shim the Project X iron shafts to properly fit these irons. You would order all 7 iron shafts. Our SHIMT (.355" - .370") works well for this assembly. If you have the King Forged One Length irons they use a .355" taper tip shaft and the Project X shafts will fit without the shims. You would order all 7 iron shafts. The shafts will be installed and cut from the grip end to your finished length.

My friend broke a project x 6.0 shaft for a Titleist Volkey 60 degree BV wedge. Would the .355 taper tip wedge be the correct replacement?

Asked by: sgtty
Yes the .355" taper tip 6.0 wedge shaft is the one you need.

What are lengths?  If I'm buying these, would want them to be 1/2 inch long. Thanks!

Asked by: Alex
Just purchase the recommended lengths for each iron. The raw length of these shafts are plenty long enough to handle 1/2" longer.
