Tapered Spiral Fluted Reamer for .355" Tapered Hosels

This spiral fluted reamer is machined to exact tolerances to clean debris and even metal from a tapered tip iron hosel. There is no longer a need to step drill tapered .355" hosels saving time and assuring that the hosel has been reamed to the exact inside diameter. The extremely sharp tapered reamer is best used with the HD Chucking Handle (GW0118) using simple hand pressure and does not require a drill or drill press.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a knife through butter! I purchased a set of these fluted reamers a few weeks ago and they worked flawlessly in preparing the hosel's of some heads that I wanted to install 370 parallel tip iron shafts within. In a matter of minutes I prepped 8 heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have tool If you are changing irons and wedges without this you are crazy. Best tool for the job. I use it every time. Way better than wearing out the head with a non fitting drill bit.

I have a taylomade R11 wedge the shaft broke in the hossel, Will this work to clean it out?

Asked by: NC golfer
No the reamers will not work well for removing a broken shaft. I would first try to extract the broken shaft using the Broken Steel Shaft Extractor (35P5) and handle (GW1108). Most shafts can be extracted using this method these days. If it will not come out then it would need to be drilled out and you would need a drill press and hosel boring vise as well as the correct drill bits. This wedge uses a .355" taper tip shaft. https://www.golfworks.com/broken-screw-shaft-extractor-set/p/35P5/ https://www.golfworks.com/fast-extract-universal-handle/p/GW1108/

I have some Ping I20 Irons. I believe they have a tappered shaft. I'd like to change the shaft, but the shaft I want is parallel. What do I need to ream this to a .370 diameter.

Asked by: RonW
Yes the Ping i20 irons are .355" taper hosels. You would need the GW0115 .370" size reamer. https://www.golfworks.com/spiral-fluted-reamers/p/GW0115/

Does the price includes the 4 pcs reamer or only one the .355

Asked by: Emmanuel
$29.99 is the price for just the .355" reamer, it is not the price for the 4 pieces.

Hello, would these work for reaming a Miura K Grind wedge head? Due to the tight tolerances I can't get a . 355 shaft in as a very small amount of material needs to be removed first, I think I read somewhere miura heads could be .350?

Asked by: Tommy
The .355" taper tip reamer will work for these heads. The Muira irons I am familiar with have all been .355" taper tip.

I have a adams blue driver 10.5 wigh the shaft broke nad would like to change the hosel to a .335 can I do it? and do you have a .335 spiral fluted reamer for it? and the price? thanks

Asked by: MARIANO
An honest answer is that I do not know if you can do this or not. I would want to know the outside diameter measurement of the hosel to know if there is enough material to allow you to open the hosel bore from .320" to .335" and maintain an adequate wall thickness for structural strength. The driver is also titanium which will not ream or rebore as easily as stainless steel. You would likely need more then one reamer so that you could step out the size from .320" to .335" to make the process a little easier.

Just wondering if you can tell me the shank diameter. Want to try putting this in a milling machine and would be nice to use a collet instead of a chuck. Thanks.

Asked by: Matt
I measured the shank and get .311".

I have a set of .355 irons that I would like to ream out to .370. The reason I need to do this is that as an 82 year old senior I need to go from the 'Reg' shaft that I presently have to a Senior shaft. Will these reamers do the job? Thanks

Asked by: DaleS
You can ream out the heads and give yourself more options, but there are a couple of .355 A flex shaft options. AeroTech makes the SteelFiber 70cw in an A flex (AT0020i) and Nippon makes has the Zelos steel in .355 in an R2 flex, which is like an A flex. If you decide to ream out the hosels, we recommend using a reaming and boring vise with a drill press of some kind. this is the only way to insure a truly square bore. REaing with a hand drill can be done, but it is less precise. The reamers are more for cleaning out than boring our. If you are going to bore out, you would need to stpe drill, starting with a "T" size bit, then moving to a "U". This will get you to .368. You could then use the .370 reamer, or could move to a 3/8" bit size to get the hosel to a .375", which is OK for use with .370 tip shafts.
