The GolfWorks Extension Adhesive

The GolfWorks new Maximum Strength Extension Adhesive has been designed specifically for securely fastening and sealing graphite, steel, aluminum and wood extensions into golf shafts. The Extension Adhesive is a very strong, quick setting adhesive that features a slightly thicker viscosity and cures less brittle than most standard golf club shafting epoxy. The thicker viscosity helps fill the larger voids often encountered when installing extensions. The more elastic cured hardness helps eliminate the possibility of brittle shafting epoxy breaking loose inside the shaft and becoming an irritating rattle. The Extension Adhesive sets up in approximately 5 minutes and comes in an easy to use 30ml syringe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product ! This is the second time I have used the GolfWorks Extension Adhesive, and it works really well. It is easy to mix and apply, and sets up quick and strong. The Adhesive is also less brittle than the industrial epoxy, which is a good feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I bought this in order to extend a set of Ping irons by an inch using the GolfWorks extensions. I mixed enough to install 2 or 3 extensions at a time, and it worked great. I extended 8 clubs, and there was enough left in the syringe to do at least another 8, if not more. I regripped and have played 2 rounds, and nothing has come loose, so I am definitely happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Epoxy This epoxy did exactly what I expected it to do. It gave plenty of working time but also hardened and was usable in a short time. I would recommend using the Golf Works epoxy designed for each portion of club construction to avoid any issues.

Hi. Can you tell me what size shaft extension I need for a Titleist 910 17 deg. Hybrid with a Diamana Kai'll 80 mid stiff shaft?

To know the correct extension size I need to know the inside diameter measurement at the butt end of the shaft and I do not have that measurement for this shaft. Being an 80 gram weight shaft and if it has a .600" butt diameter, I do not have that measurement either, it would likely use the GW4000 Yellow (.515") extension based on other 80 gram weight .600" butt diameter shafts I have checked.

This would be a .600" butt diameter shaft and use the S60 (.600") steel extension.

how long to wait after adding extension to my driver before regrip and use?

The Shaft Extension Epoxy sets in 5 minutes. I would give it at least 30 minutes to cure before gripping and playing. Personally I would always wait until the next day. Even on fast setting epoxies most epoxy manufactures will still recommend 24 hour cure.

How many extensions can I do with one order?

There should be enough to do a full set of clubs. The hard part to predict is that it is a fast setting epoxy so you cannot mix enough epoxy at one time to do the full set of clubs. You will be able to mix enough to epoxy 2 or 3 clubs and then will have to mix another batch. Personally I use the EPX epoxies for all my club work and could easily do multiple sets of extension with a tube of EPX1 because it is not a fast setting epoxy. Just another option.

This is very similar to the Tour Set epoxy. You can use the Tour Set and be just fine.

The General "Rule of Thumb" with all shafting epoxies is that they have a shelf life of 1 year.

What is the lap sheer strength?

The Lap Strength is 3000 psi when fully cured (about 7 days). Within 24 hours, the material develops about 90% strength (about 2700 psi).
