The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy

Recommended By The GolfWorks Staff!

The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy is the strongest “5 minute” epoxy available, specifically formulated for metal wood and iron club assembly. Standard “5 minute” epoxies are only recommended for putter assembly and temporary emergency repairs. With a full cure lap shear strength of 2900 psi and a usable cure time of 15-30 minutes, the Maximum Strength Quick Set eliminates the need for unreliable one part cyanoacrylate adhesives and is much more reliable than standard “5 minute” shafting epoxies with average lap shear strengths of 1500 psi. Maximum Strength Quick Set is black in color with a mix ratio of 1:1. Thumb plunger for dispersion is included with 50ml cartridges.

The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from FAST SET! NEVER A FAILURE! By far the BEST quick set epoxy on the market. I am a professional club maker and I have never had a failure using this product. It also cuts my work time by allowing me to continue to work on the clubs within 30 minutes after the application. In many cases I have had customers with emergency repairs playing the repaired club one hour after the application. NO failures. It does set very quickly but if you are organized and skilled you can epoxy as many as 3 clubs at a time. Thanks GOLFWORKS for making my life easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longer shelf life I repair my own clubs and those of others. What I did find Is that the mixer type are great but if a period of time goes by, the harder does not flow well and you get either a bad tube or inaccurate mix. I like these a lot better. When club repair business gets off ground I maybe able to go back but right now this is my best option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought this about a week ago. It outperforms similar products. I cemented a tip and an exrension on a driver shaft, one right after the other. It works fast so the running (none) was positioned in opposite directions. 15 minutes to playing strength!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fail to cure Bought them 20 months ago. Worked well but now failed. Customer service said there's a one year shelf life once opened. There's no warning on label.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Epoxy for clubs Bought this a month ago and it is by far the best epoxy for golf clubs. I was buying the syringe type, but this is much easier to use.

Do you mix them in equal parts.  I've never used the black but i mixed the two bottles in equal parts.  Its been an hour ant he clubs are still not solid.  Might be the temp in my garage 100.  Bob

The VB1024 Max Strength Quick Set epoxy is a 1:1 mix and is suppose to set in 15 to 30 minutes at room temperature which they consider 76 degrees. At 100 degrees it should actually set a little faster which is fine. The only other thing that comes to mind that would keep the epoxy from setting correctly would be if any solvent that was used to clean excess epoxy from the clubhead got into the epoxy. It could cause a problem with the epoxy.

Purchased to replace competitive product and was testing actual set time before using. It did take most of the 30 minutes to set, even then it was a bit tacky. Part A is not close to black, it is a definate grey. Did we get a bad batch?

Asked by: Tim
It should be fine. Epoxy does not always set up hard and brittle. Epoxy being a little malleable is normal. The black coloring does not always stay black, at times it will be a grayish color.
