The GolfWorks R1 Shaft Adaptor Sleeve

The GolfWorks R1 Shaft Adaptor Sleeve is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOO Heavy and Tight Fit When I first received this I immediately could tell the difference in weight comparing the original TM sleeve. I decided to weigh it and sure enough, it weighed 3.7 grams more than the original sleeve adaptor. Which will increase swing weight. I tried to dry fit the sleeve onto a .335 pre-prepped shaft and it only went on half way. It did not fit. I checked the inside diameter and found that it was .337 part way and decreased to .334 towards the bottom of the adaptor hole. Maybe I received a defective sleeve but not what I would expect from Golfworks.

Will this also work on an SLDR driver head?

Asked by: marty
No the BB9054 shaft adapter will not work in the SLDR driver. For the SLDR you need to use the TM0023 shaft adapter.

I currently have an Aldila NV 65-R shaft on my TaylorMade R1 driver. I'd like to switch to a lighter weight -- perhaps the NVS 55-R. I see some buyers are having a problem with the adapter. Can I use the adapter from my current shaft without a problem?

Asked by: gurumanjohn
The stock shaft adapter in the R1 used a .350" tip diameter shaft. If the NV 65R shaft you have is a .350" tip size it will likely be indicated somewhere on the silk screen. When we sold the NV in a.350" tip size it was indicated on the silk screen. The BB9054 shaft adapter is for the R1 and used a .335" tip diameter shaft.

I read that the R1 adapter fits the Adams XTD driver.  Is thtrue?rue

Asked by: Bill
Not from the information that I have. The TM0023 shaft adaptor for the R-15,SLDR, M1 and M2 will fit the Adams XTD, from what Taylor Made told me. The R1 adapter will not fit the R-15, SLDR, M1 and M2 drivers.

Do you sell R1 tip size 350 instead of 335?

Asked by: James E
We carry only the .335 in this adaptor.

I noticed just before i ordered that this adaptor is for right hand clubs. Is there an adaptor available for left hand, or can the right hand adaptor be used and if so what would the ramifications be? I assume it might have something to do with the offset

Asked by: Bob
No we do not have the BB9054 adaptor in Left hand. This right hand adaptor will work in the left hand club but the readings will all be opposite.
