I have a Scotty Cameron Big Sur S putter (Center shaft) long putter (46") and would like to replace the shaft. Which shaft would you recommend as a replacement? FYI - No bend in the shaft. Thanks.

Asked by: Matt
I would expect this to be a .370" tip size shaft and use the Ski Pole (SKP), the first one listed to order. The folks at Titleist and Cameron will not give out the tip size information for the Cameron putters but I would be very surprised if this model was not .370".

will the single bend 53 inch shaft fit a odyssey dual force rossie 2, right now it has a 40 inch single bend shaft and it is way to short, also how much does it usually cost to have it re shafted and re gripped?thanks

Asked by: wyatt
The Odyssey putters are not a 90 degree hosel bore. The hosel bore is angled slightly towards the face and the single bend shaft has to much of a bend to set up correctly in this putter. Years ago I have the Rossie 2 and wanted to put a single bend putter shaft into it and had to do a custom bend shaft to get it to set up correctly. We do offer a 50" double bend Odyssey replacement shaft that could be cut down to 40" length for this putter. You will find it at this link. https://www.golfworks.com/odyssey-double-bend-replacement-putter-shafts/p/TT204102/

I have a Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2 Dual Balance putter with a single bend shaft. Will your .370 tip single bend shaft fit it without an adapter or shim? Thanks

Asked by: Tain
This could be a .370" parallel tip or it could be a .350" or .355" taper tip single bend shaft. I do not know for sure and the folks at Titleist and Cameron will not give out that information. If it is a .350" or .355" taper tip single bend you will probably have to send it back to Titleist or Cameron. If it is a .370" parallel tip we could do a custom single bend shaft. When we do custom bends we request that you send the putter head to us so that we can be sure to get the bends set up correctly.

Looking to buy a shaft, but there are no pictures of the shafts. Ho do I go about finding pictures. There appears to be an attempt at a picture. If it is, it is not adequate.

Asked by: Kong
We do not have any pictures of these shafts to show the single and double bend portions of these shafts. The single bend shaft will work with a 90 degree bore and create a lie angle only. The double bend shaft also works with a 90 degree bore and creates lie angle and offset. The straight shaft works with a putter head design where the bore angle (Lie Angle) is already bored into the putter head and generally for long putters that is in the 79 degree range. If you have more specific questions you can email me at jyachinich@golfworks.com

I have an Odyssey long putter. Will you be able to shorten the length and what grip options are there because of the wide taper of the shaft?

Asked by: Ctgolf
Yes we can shorten the long putter. It is just a matter of cutting the existing shaft shorter our it could be reshafted with the TT204102 Odyssey replacement shaft. Even cutting down the existing putter shaft we can install any putter grip that you chose. They will still fit over this shaft, that is not a problem.

What is the lie angle of a putter with the double bend and the single bend long putter shaft, if it installed in a 90* bore?  Thanks.

Asked by: glfr4life
Both the double and single bend shafts create a 79 degree lie angle into a 90 degree bore.

Would this shaft fit in a Ping Cadence TR Heavy Rustler Mallet putter head?

Asked by: glfr4life
I sent an email to Ping to check the tip size of this shaft and here is the response I received. The shaft diameter in these putters actually vary based on how production has to cut the shaft to fit in the hosel. Unfortunately, there is no set diameter for those shafts. If you'd like to reshaft, we can do that repair for you. Thank you for choosing Ping! I know Ping has used some taper tip double bend shaft and with what they are saying here it sounds like that is what they used in this putter. If it were a .370" tip size that size stays parallel and there would be no reason to tip trim to make it fit but with a taper tip they could need to tip trim to make it fit. We do not stock any taper tip double bend putter shafts and cannot do a custom bend shaft either. You would probably be best to send this putter back to Ping for reshafting.
