True Temper Dynamic Gold .355" Steel Iron Shafts is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sometimes high tech is over rated ! With all the "new" steel shafts on the market to choose from True Temper Dynamic Gold stands the test of time ! Still the most consistent across the board, it is my go to when an experiment doesn't pan out .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shafts great company to buy from. I bought my true temper shafts as replacements for ones that got bent. The reason I purchased these from Golfworks is: These are tapered tip shafts. They can only be butt - trimmed. They have to be correctly tipped and stepped . With Golfworks, the shafts are always the correct ones. You know they are genuine True Temper, and Golfworks always sends shaft bands, too. I have bought on E- bay, and some of the places wil send you any shaft they have. Then they send you a shaft label to make it look like the correct shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular, time-tested, shanker-approved shaft! If you are unhappy with your stock steel shafts, these are, in my opinion, the go-to shaft for anyone. They can be had in a number of different flexes to suit your needs. I had AWT stiff shafts in my Ping G irons at normal length gapping - a lot of R&D went into designing these so that they are weighted differently depending on the loft of the iron making them heavier in the higher lofts and lighter in the lower lofts to promote WHAT, I have no idea - basically they made for to much inconstancy in my swing. I swapped them out for TT DG S300 at .3" gapping in length (instead of .5") and it has made for a much more consistent ball striking experience for this hacker. Also, Golf Works is the bomb! They are a very helpful, reasonably priced, one-stop shop for all your club building needs. Your stuff ships out quickly too. Cheers, to Golf Works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from X100 X Stiff Bought these to replace a set of Rifle flighted shafts in my R7 TP irons. Feel good, not too stiff especially after I set the clubs to D3 swingweight (I'm 6'4"). Easy to install with some collared ferrules.

Hi. I just bought a Taylormade UDI 2 iron off eBay and would like to put a DG X100 shaft  to replace the stock shaft. Can you please tell me which shaft (355 or 370) and which ferrule I will need to order. Thank you! Erik

Asked by: Erik
The Taylor Made UDI irons use a .355" taper tip. You will need the DGI X100 shaft for this club. You could actually use the Taylor Made Universal ferrule BB9071 with the UDI driving iron. Even though this ferrule is a .370" tip size it will fit the .355" taper tip shaft. The taper tip shaft tapers out to approximately .370" where the shaft exits the top of the hosel so the .370" ferrule will fit.

What would be a steel replacement for 2016 Taylormade M2 irons in Dynamic gold, Regular

Asked by: chiggerbird
The 2016 M2 irons use a .370" parallel tip shaft size so you would order the UDGI R300. https://www.golfworks.com/true-temper-dynamic-gold-370-steel-iron-shafts/p/UDGI/

I need a light metal shaft, 9.5 grams, for a Taylor Made RAC 5-iron. Which one should I buy?

Asked by: nashnp
You could use the True Temper XP 95 (TT0113). It would match well to the steel shaft Taylor Made would have used in the RAC 5 iron. https://www.golfworks.com/true-temper-dynamic-gold-xp95-steel-iron-shafts/p/TT0113/

what designates stiffness in shafts?

Asked by: Dan
In the case of the Dynamic Gold shafts the stiffness is indicated by R300, S300 and X100. R300 (Regular Flex) is the most flexible and would be recommended for someone who hits a 7 iron from 150 yards. S300 (Stiff) is less flexible then the R300 and would be recommended for someone who hits an 8 iron from 150 yards. X100 (Extra Stiff) is the least flexible and is recommended for someone who hits a 9 iron or wedge from 150 yards. Flexes are dictated in different ways by different shaft companies but most often in L,A,R,S or X flex. L for ladies flex, A for senior flex, R for men's regular flex, S for men's stiff flex and X for men's extra stiff flex.

I need a 4 through gap wedge shafts 8 in all.... which ones do I order

Asked by: doc
The club number is listed right next to the flex where you enter the order. The 4 iron is the 39.5" raw length shaft and they step down in 1/2" increments to the 37" shaft which is used for the 9 iron and all wedges. 4 = 39.5" 5 = 39" 6 = 38.5" 7 = 38" 8 = 37.5" 9 = 37" Wedges = 37"

I'm reshafting Calloway x 14 pro series irons . As they are bore through , how would you deal with the shafts ? Soft step taper tips to get correct flex ? Or bore for parallel and adjust , shorten  tip trim ?

Asked by: Ross
Callaway actually used .370" parallel tip shafts in the X14 Pro irons and cut slots length wise in the tip end of the shaft so that it would compress down to .350" where the shaft extends through the bottom of the clubhead. If you use taper tip shafts you need to soft step 2 clubs and if you use parallel tip shafts you need to subtract 1" from the recommended tip trimming to maintain the flex of the shaft. We reshaft using .370" parallel tips doing the 1" less tip trimming and cut the slots in the tip end of the shaft. If your set make up does not allow you to trim 1" less you may have to start with a more flexible shaft and adjust the trimming to maintain the correct flex.

I assume that S refers to Stiff and R to regular bur what is the relavance of the X and 100, 200,300 & 400 references.

Asked by: JudoDave
X is Extra Stiff which is stiffer then a Stiff flex. The 100, 200, 300 and 400 represents how the shafts are sorted by weight. An S300 would weight 130 grams, an S200 128 grams, S100 126 grams and the S400 132 grams. The shafts will get slightly stiffer as they get heavier in weight as well.
