Trimming Instructions

True Temper Dynamic Gold .370" Steel Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate These shafts are the most accurate and consistant I've found. Been using them for over 20 years. I changed out my graphite shafts in my hybrid irons and woods (the hosel on my 3 wood hybrid takes a .370 diameter) for better online shots and consistant yardages. The only con is the extra wieght but the trade off for accuracy saves me a stroke or two per round!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally Well i got a shaft that works with my Maltby TE irons. If you think the X300 is a telephone pole your wrong. Med high ball flight, soft good feel with spin. I was nervous at first by thinking they would be to stiff but they are the best shaft i hit so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good service I am new at installing shafts but with the product and the good directions included, it was easy. The new shaft does make a difference, although I am at best a poor player.

Hi I am buying maltby KE4 U30 iron heads I want to use a true Temper Dynamic gold shaft the Hosel is 0.370. Shafts are to be stiff and 2" longer than standard. what is your recommendation

Asked by: Joe F
The KE4 U30 heads in RH have been discontinued and we only have a few head numbers remaining. In LH, we no longer have complete sets, missing a few head numbers. The new version in RH is the KE4 - S (MA0254). LH option is not available in the KE4-S, but we have a new LH model, the STiOS (MA0273). As far as the Dynamic Gold and making the clubs 2" longer, no problem building to that length and the Dynamic Gold is an excellent product and if fit properly for your game, should work well with the Maltby heads.

The standard length for True Temper dynamic gold 5 iron is 37.75 inches.  If I make the club 1/2 inch longer than standard length, do I tip the shaft an additional 1/2 inch to take into account the extra length of the finished club?

Asked by: David
When making a club 1/2" longer I would recommend tip trimming 1/4" more then what is recommended to maintain the flex of the shaft. The butt end of the is the stiffest end so when you make a club longer you make it longer from the stiffest end (butt end) and it does not get that much more flexible. Tipping it 1/2" additional will make it play a little stiffer then it's listed flex.

I use a true temper dynamic gold .370 r400 for my 5 to pw irons and now I want the same shaft for my 4 iron but r400 is not available which one can be the most closest to it

Asked by: Hank
You could use the .355 taper tip DGI shaft in the R400 and shim it using the SHIMT to work in the .370 hosel. You would need the 40" shaft for the 4 iron. We do have one in stock at that flex and length.

The Rocketfuel shaft is made exclusively for Taylor Made and to get this shaft for your 50 degree AW back to Taylor Made to have it reshafted. It this is the Rocket Fuel steel shaft is is listed at 85 grams and the Rocket Fuel graphite shaft was listed at 65 grams.

Have old Muz.MX 20 w/ to dynalite gold r300.is project.x 95 5.5 Or psi 5.5 too stiff for me?

Asked by: Billy B
Royal Precision called a 5.5 flex a Stiff flex shaft. Both of these shafts would play stiffer then the Dynalite Gold R300. Royal Precision called a 5.0 an R+ flex and the 4.5 an R flex. These shafts are not available in the 4.5 flex.

Will this shaft be a good replacement for a nike vrs 5 iron with a true temper dynalite 90 stiff flex?

Asked by: Gianni
The std. Dynamic Gold shaft is quite a bit heavier and will produce a lower ball flight than the original Dynalite 90 shafts. I would suggest reshafting with the XP95 shaft as a replacement. This will closer in ball flight and weight than the Dynamic Gold and is available in both .355" and .370". You can find which tip diameter you will need here: http://www.golfworks.com/images/art/Nike.pdf
