Trimming Instructions

True Temper Dynamic Gold SL .370" Steel Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I switched! I finally pulled the Uniflex steel shafts that came in my Callaway Razr irons. Glad I made the switch!! The DG SL feels much better and lighter. The Uniflex felt like iron bars. I have only played a few rounds but I think I picked up about half a club in length also!

I currently have the Callaway Apex CF16 (3-AW) w/ TT XP 95 x100, and need the DG SL to lower the trajectory and keep swing weight similar. I'm not sure on hosel depth, but I do play the lengths 3 iron 39.5"-AW 35.5". Can you prep them to those specs?

Asked by: Rod
Yes we can prep the shafts for your playing lengths for these clubs. When you place your order you will need to tell us that you have the Apex CF16 irons.

I have 85 mph with iron 6 : is possibile with this speed make shaft 1/2 inch more than standard lenght with shaft R 104 grams?

Asked by: Leonard
Yes, after assembly the shafts will be approximately 1 1/2" to 2" longer than standard length. You will need to butt trim the shafts after assembly. Simply cut the shafts as long as needed.

How much do I trim off irons 4-gw. Do we still do back of heel to first step per iron?

Asked by: Jim
The trimming instructions are listed online and in our catalog. For the parallel tip TT201105 Dynamic Gold SL irons you tip trim 1.5" from he tip on the 4 iron, 2" on the 5, 2.5" on the 6, 3" on the 7, 3.5" on the 8, 4" on the 9, and 4.5" on the Pitching Wedge and Gap Wedge. After tip trimming and installation, you trim to final playing length from the but end of the shaft.

If I cut an additional 1/2 inch of tip from the 0.370 R300 version, will this produce a flex half way between S300 and R300? Thanks.

Asked by: Johnno
No, you would have to trim an additional 1" to create a flex between and R300 and S300. 1/2" with this shaft would be equal to a quarter of a flex change.
