Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Choice for Seniors I put this shaft untrimmed in a Callaway X Hot 16 degree hybrid . It was awesome for a nice high controlled ball flight the consistency and distance made a 3 wood completely unnecessary for me. My playing partner began hitting it so often, I had to build him one. The MP5 series is a game changer.

My customer want me to switch out her hybrid shafts to match the rest of her shafts which turns out to be the MP5's. However I don't see a "L" flex available for Hybrids. Do you have any recommendations?

    Asked by: Lingo
You could use the MP6 (US0062) iron shaft in these hybrids. I would also look at the UST dhi hybrid L flex (US0083). Either one could work well.

I just purchased 3 of the MP 5 shafts for use with my cobra Amp cell hybreds. I also bought the adapters to use with them. Since the shaft does not fit to the bottom of the club head do I need to use different tipping instructions?

    Asked by: Dave233
No you would follow the recommended tip trimming for the MP5 hybrid shafts with no adjustments.

Can I get this shaft cut to length for a 2 and 4 hybrid and a taylormade sldr loft adap ter added to each

    Asked by: jimmy3265
Yes we can do that. You would need to order the shafts and adaptors and tells us that you would like them installed. You would need to tell us which settings you would like the shafts installed to and what finished lengths you want each club to be. If you are ordering on line you would put these notes in the Special Notes box at Checkout.

I have a 6 hyb, 5 hyb, and 4 hyb. How much tip trimming would I need to do for those. Based on the trimming code, would I remove 2 inch for the 6 hyb, 1 1/2 for 5 hyb, and 1 inch for the 4 hyb? Thanks.

    Asked by: Sparky11756
The trimming instructions actually say 1.5" for the H4, 2" for the H5 and they stop at the H5. You could tip trim them the way you have them listed as well. They will play a little more flexible that way. The shaft has 5.5" of parallel tip length so you would have enough room to tip trim 2.5" for the H6, assuming you have enough length at the butt end to create the finished length you want. At 41" this is one of the shorter raw length hybrid shafts so finished club length could be a problem especially if you are assembling to a longer then standard length.

can the mp5 hybrid shaft be used in your hybid iron heads

    Asked by: Skinny Cycles
You could use the MP5 hybrid shaft in irons. You have to create some trimming instructions based on the set make up you will be assembling. The MP5 Hybrid shaft has a 5 1/2" parallel tip length where the shaft tip stays .370". You need to leave 1 1/2" of this for proper shaft installation so you do not want to tip trim more then 4". Trim code IR3 would work for using these Hybrid shafts into irons.
