UST Mamiya Recoil 95 Taper Iron Shafts

Finally, a revolutionary technology that will change how you think about iron shafts. UST Mamiya’s new recoil iron shafts are a game changer. In the past, heavy weight graphite iron shafts felt dead and stiff. With UST Mamiya’s exclusive recoil™ technology, we have brought feel back into the shaft, while allowing players to hit a wide range of shots that result in better distance control and pin seeking accuracy.

By positioning over 19 different layers within the shaft, we were able to create a design that outperforms the best steel shafts in the market.

  • Lightest weight option in a .355 taper tip.
  • Designed to produce efficient energy transfer for increased ball velocity and greater distance. 67% more efficient than steel.
  • Recoil™ 95 produces a medium ball flight.

UST Recoil Graphite Iron Shaft Specifications

UST Mamiya Recoil Taper Iron Shafts is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Taylormade driving iron (UDI) shafts I bought the shafts to put in a collection (2-3-4) of Taylormade UDI's (driving irons). I liked the shafts overall but just felt they were a bit too stiff for my liking. I swapped the Recoil 95's shafts in stiff flex out for some Aerotech SteelFiber i95cw's shafts in stiff flex. It made all of the difference in the world, much more subtle feel & I felt that I wasn't required to swing hard & my best every time. I think if I had used the Recoil 95 shafts in regular flex, I would have been delighted & never would changed to the SteelFibers. All of my other clubs are stiff flex which leaves my thinking the Recoils are a bit firmer flex than others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from recoil shafts experience i have bought the recoil 95 grams stiff shafts last month and just started to use them. the feeling is i bit different but much better as i use to play with the S 300 steel shafts from Dynamic gold. i think i have to get use to them before giving my final review. all what i can tell that it feels nice and and comfortable. i should check on the swing weight once again as i feel loosing distance... it might be an adjustment to be made at the club fitting center .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UST 95 Recoil Taper Tip Graphite Shaft I really like the shaft, but for me it's a litle too heavy. It's perfect for someone whose played stteel shafted irons. I''m used to a lighter graphite shaft (70-75 grams.) I'm requesting the 800 Series Recoil Shaft, which UST will only sell through their Club Fitting Alliances.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Iron Shaft This was an experiment with an extra AP2 714 6 iron. I like to try different shafts to see how they perform. There was no performance AT ALL from this Recoil shaft. Dead as wood, no feel and loss of distance. Horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shafts. I recently reshafted my irons with Recoil 95 F3 shafts. I'm so glad I did. Very pleased with this shaft. Accurate and outstanding feel. Excellent product.

Can I use this shaft with my old ping eye 2 club head? If not, What can I use?

    Asked by: Doggoneit
Yes, you can use the Recoil taper tip iron shaft with the Ping Eye 2 iron. The Ping Eye 2 irons take a .355 taper tip shaft.

When will you have stock on the 5 and 6 iron regular flex shafts Thanks

    Asked by: Merv
You will need to check with GolfWorks Canada to find out for sure. We ship to GolfWorks Canada on a regular basis and we just go these in stock here in the US. Hopefully they should have them soon but they can tell you for sure. http://www.golfworks.ca/contact-us/a/222/

If I order a set of mizuno 900 irons with Recoil shafts. I'm I getting the real Recoil shaft or a cheaper mass produced version. Thanks

    Asked by: Che
To my knowledge in the case of the Recoil irons you should be getting the real deal. Depending on the model UST will make them with a .355" taper tip for Mizuno compared to most of the models we stock being a .370" parallel tip.

I usually use A shafts. I have a set of Titleist AP2 714 irons I would like to re-shaft with Recoil 95. If I shaft 5 iron with 3 iron taper and continue soft step through wedge would that be equivalent. I need to know before ordering. Thanks

    Asked by: Chuck
Soft stepping 2 clubs like this should get you pretty close to an A flex with the Recoil 95 R flex shafts. It could work well.

Are the Recoil 95 .370 (parallel not taper) shafts which are special ordered from UST Mamiya discrete length shafts or a single 41 inch length? If they are, is it possible to estimate how long it would take to special order the shafts from UST? Thanks.

    Asked by: Caesar
The Recoil 95 iron shafts are only made with a .355" taper tip discrete length and are not available at all with a .370" parallel tip. To install these shafts into a .370" hosel bore you would need to use a shim to make the shaft fit properly. Our SHIMT works well for this assembly. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-brass-adaptor-shims/p/SHIM/

Thanks Jim, the 5->PW turned out well. Subsequently, a friend wants a set w/ .370 shafts. You mentioned that .370 could be ordered. Are these discrete length shafts where there is no tip trimming? Also are .370 ascending weight (lighter in long irons)?

    Asked by: Caesar
The Steel Fiber 95 shafts can be ordered in a .370" tip size. We do stock them and the code is AT0003I. They all come at 41" and then are trimmed per the instructions for each club number. These shafts will get lighter as they get shorter. http://www.golfworks.com/aerotech-steelfiber-graphite-iron-shafts/p/AT0003I/
