DuraBrite Felt Ferrule Turning Belt

The DuraBrite Felt Ferrule Turning belts are a great alternative to linen ferrule turning belts, especially for the beginning club maker. The DuraBrite belts will not harm painted finishes on graphite shafts or wood heads eliminating the need to apply protective tape over painted surfaces during the ferrule turning process.
DuraBrite Felt Ferrule Turning Belt is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for turning ferrules I've been using this belt (42") for a couple of weeks now and the results have been fantastic. Smooth, perfect ferrules every time and durable too. I had been using a competitors brown belt, but this one seems to be lasting longer and the price and shipping is reasonable..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down, the best ferrule turning belt!!!! I have been using the blue DuraBrite felt ferrule turning belts for years. They produce the best results, are very easy to use and last for a considerable time. I have recommended these to all of my friends in the repair business and they have all loved these too. Do not hesitate to buy. You will be rewarded.

I am using your belt sander and the band felt, but i keep scratching the ferrule surface. Do you have a video or special instruction how i should avoid those scretches?

Asked by: ArielBrender
We do not have a video on line showing how to finish a ferrule but if you would like to email me your mailing address I will be glad to send you one. Email me at jyachinich@golfworks.com The only thing that comes to mind that might be causing scratches is if you are turning the ferrule against the metal piece that is behind the belt. This metal piece is called the platen. You do not want any hard surface behind the belt that you would be turning the ferrule against. Turn the ferrule above the platen. If that is not it I am not quite sure what is causing these scratches. Even with using the belt to size the ferrule I like to then rub it with "0000" steel wool and then wipe it with acetone to create the shine.
