Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I recently purchased this tool and used it to remove a hybrid head from a graphite shaft. It worked flawlessly and the instructions included with the tool were clear and concise. This is really all the tool you need to extract shafts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay Product I bought it a few months ago because I did see the other extractor products. I just pulled some regular KBS shafts out my Taylormade R11 to put in stiff KBS shaft. It was an over kill. Didn't really extracted the shafts. I had to put the club heads out with my hand a few times. Just buy the cheaper and more lighter products and you will be okay.

will this work for steel shafts as well?

Asked by: exrog
The shaft puller can work with steel shafts, but it generally is not necessary to use on steel shafted clubs. The purpose of the puller is allow removal of the head without twisting the head off the shaft, which can damage graphite shafts. Steel shafted clubs can be placed in a vise with a rubber shaft protector protecting the shaft. The hosel can be heated and the head can be pulled off the shaft manually, being sure to wear protective gloves when grasping the head.

The clamping mechanism is universal and will safely clamp any size golf shaft. The extractor comes with a push plate that is also universal and will work any modern size golf shaft.
