Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too long I ordered these ferrules for my Callaway X-Hot irons I'm replacing shafts to graphite. Based on the Ques/Answers as to the length (not counting collar) the answer was 1/2". When the order was received I noticed immediately the lengths were 3/4". These ferrules will not match up to the wedges I'm not changing out shafts as they are 1/2" ferrules. Now I'm stuck with these !

Can i use these to go from a .335" parallel tip shaft to a big bertha 2014 iron head?

Asked by: Robj
The 2014 Big Bertha 2014 irons would use a .370" tip size shaft and this ferrule will fit those. It would not work if you are wanting to install a .335" parallel tip size shaft into these irons. To install a .335" parallel tip shaft into these irons you would have to use the SHIM30 and possibly a ferrule like the Opti-Fit ferrule to fit these irons. If you are really wanting to install .335" parallel tip shafts into these irons you will need to get creative. It will be a little more work.

is this item required when replacing a shaft on a "X18" 5 iron

Asked by: bud123
The Callaway X18 irons actually used a ferrule like the BB9003. The BB9050 will likely not work with the X18 irons. https://www.golfworks.com/callaway-collared-iron-ferrule-370/p/BB9003/

I am reshafting a Callaway X2Hot Pro Hybrid that has the Aldila Tour Green shaft in it. Is this the correct ferrule to use? Thanks.

Asked by: Lee
Yes the BB9050 should also work with the X2Hot Pro Hybrid. The BB0008 would be another option and it's length looks to match the length of the original Callaway ferrule better then the BB9050. It is only a cosmetic difference.

How long is this ferrule, not including the collar section?

Asked by: DJM
The BB9050 Callaway ferrule is 1/2" long not including the collar.

Would these for my taylormade speed blades? I changed shafts and ruined the collard ferrules. Thanks

Asked by: John55
Speedblades actually had a little red plastic piece that fit into the hosel and then they used a ferrule that snapped over this red piece. With the red plastic piece gone a collared ferrule will fit, at least the ones that we sell (BB0001). I do not think the Callaway collared ferrules will fit because the collar part is longer and will be to long for the counterbore in these Speedblade irons. http://www.golfworks.com/collared-golf-club-ferrules/p/BB0001/

Do these ferrules also fit the MacGregor MT irons or the Cobra AMP irons?

Asked by: Waterskichamp
The MacGregor irons may not have used a collared ferrule but the Cobra AMP irons do. I am not sure if this Callaway ferrule will fit the outside diameter of the Cobra AMP irons. For the MacGregor irons if they do not use a collared ferrule a ferrule like the 61PI would work. The BB0008 collared ferrule should will work with the AMP irons. http://www.golfworks.com/collared-golf-club-ferrules/p/BB0001/ http://www.golfworks.com/golf-club-iron-ferrules-black/p/60PI/
