Graftech GT 65 Graphite Golf Shaft Specifications

Graftech GT 65 Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impressively Consistent in Weight and Frequency Purchased 9 of these to build a set of irons for a client. I always do a CPM analysis of raw shafts prior to any trimming as part of a frequency matching build. These were impressively consistent given the low cost. The entire group was within 3 CPM. Great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shafts at a great price I replaced the original steel shafts on an old set of Wilson Ultra 45s with the Graftech GT65s. These new shafts have brought these clubs back to life. They are one of my favorite sets of irons now with increased distance and consistency throughout the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Add Yards I bought these shafts and put them in my KE-4 irons that I had assembled with steel shafts 8 years ago. My irons now travel about 10 yards farther and I can swing easier making my shots more accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved Distance I have used the new shafts four times and am hitting my irons 10-15 yards farther. They are also much easier on the hands and wrists than my steel shafts were. I am obviously very pleased with them.

would this be a good replacement for taylormade Rsi 1 Reax 65 G graphite shafts?

Asked by: Mike
The Graftech GT 65 could be used as a replacement for the REAX 65 shaft. Most of the REAX shafts used by Taylor Made were made by Fujikura and the Vista Pro 65 (FK0088) could make a good replacement.

What is the range of suggested swing speed for this Graftech GT 65 Graphite Iron Shafts (L Flex)? What is the trimming code for L Flex? Is the shaft fits the TM RBZ stage 2 irons and wedges?

Asked by: AChan
Actually we would recommend the L flex for a player hitting a 5 iron or longer club from 150 yards. Yes the Graftech GT 65 will fit the RBZ Stage 2. For the L flex you follow trim code IR7 on the second page at this link.

Will this shaft fit the new Taylormade tour ef wedges? I don't know the tip size!

Asked by: Mcal
No, the Graftech GT 65 shaft will not fit the TM Tour EF wedges. The Tour EF wedges use a .355" taper tip shaft. The Paderson Kinetixx TS-I .355" iron shaft would be the least expensive taper tip graphite shaft we have that will fit the EF wedges.

which shaft extension would I use for the GT 65 iron shaft?

Asked by: bassman52
You would use the GW4000 Green (.5225") graphite extension for the GT65 irons.

what kick point low would be good

Asked by: big B
For a low kick point (high trajectory) a shaft like the Grafalloy ProCustom (TT201201) could be a good choice. Also the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue Iron (TT0108) is a low bend point shaft design.

Hello, I broke my five iron shaft to my Taylor Made Rocket Ballz. I don't see a place to select which club I broke. Are they all the same size? Or  is it trim to length? Thank you

Asked by: Nikas
You will order the flex that you need, either the L/A for Ladies or Senior flex or R/S for Regular or Stiff flex and you will trim the shaft from both the tip and butt end to the flex and club number you need the shaft to be. For the R/S flex the R flex you would tip trim 1" for the 5 iron, install the shaft and cut from the butt end (grip end) to your finished club length. For the S flex 5 iron you would tip trim 2" install the shaft and butt trim to your finished length. You could chose tip & butt trimming box when you place your order and we will cut and prepare this shaft for you so that all you will need to do is install the shaft. You could call this order in at 1-800-848-8358.

This shaft can use on my Mizuno JPX EZ forged 2013?

Asked by: SLY13
No, the Graftech GT65 iron shaft will not fit the Mizuno JPX EZ forged irons. The JPX EZ forged irons use a .355" taper tip shaft. The GT65 is only available in a .370" parallel tip size which is to big to fit the Mizuno Irons. You might want to look at Xcaliber Iron shaft (AS0028) which is available in a .355" taper tip which is a very good inexpensive shaft that could match up well with the JPX EZ forged irons.
