Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to mount and works great I decided to get into the habit of regripping all clubs on a regular basis. I also want to get involved in repairing and possibly putting together component parts. I mounted the clamp to a small board that I can secure to my workbench or move to other areas as needed. The clamp works great. It is easy to set up, holds the clubs firmly without fear of damage. I highly recommend this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GolfWorks Quick Shaft Clamp I bought this clamp a month ago, and it makes re-gripping so much easier then when I had only the rubber vise clamp. They both work, and get the job done, but the quick clamp cuts the time by probably ten times, and I'm no longer worried about setting the vise too tight and damaging the shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great convenience tool This shaft clamp cuts down significantly the time required to regrip as you avoid having to reclamp each club manually in a vise. The shaft clamp is easily adjustable to fit any size shaft. A must have if you regrip a lot.

Would I be able to use this clamp at the very end of an ungripped shaft?

Asked by: Martin Breedlove
If you clamp at the butt end (grip end) of the shaft be very careful with your clamping pressure with graphite shafts. You could crack or break the shaft. With steel shafts you still need to be careful but it should not be a problem. This clamp does not work well for clamping the tip end of the shaft simply because it was not designed for that purpose.

I just purchased this and am confused by the clear rubber tubes over the springs. Are these to be removed as it doesn't allow the full vice pressure against the shaft. Thanks.

Asked by: Todd
You can remove them or you could cut them a little shorter. I believe there purpose is to cover the springs and keep grip solvent from getting on the springs and gumming them up.

How do you know how much pressure to put on the steel shafts to not damage them?

Asked by: Lillie
You want just enough pressure to hold the shaft securely so that it will stay in place when you are installing grips. You want to feel some clamping pressure but you do not want to have to force the clamp to hold the shaft.
