Many manufacturers and custom clubmakers use Powdered Lead in a cavity under the soleplate to final balance and weight clubs. Usually this cavity is accessible thgrough a small hole sealed with a headless hex type set screw To use Powdered Lead, remove the set screw and pour the lead into the cavity. Verify swingweight, then epoxy the set screw back in place. 1-lb. container.

Pb powder particle size spectrum?

Asked by: landag
We do not have a powder particle size for the Lead Powder. It is a fairly fine powder. The only information we have would be on the MSDS or Safety Data sheet. You can send an email to customer service at golfworks@golfworks.com and they can email you a copy of the MSDS sheet.

Hi I want to add up to 8 grams to each club to increase the swing weight. The top of the shafts have extenders so I can not insert a cork after filling with the powder. The extenders have a narrow hole. Do you have any suggestions?

Asked by: Jeff
If you want to add swing weight, you need to add weight to the head end of the club. The easiest way to do it, although not the most cosmetically pleasing, is to use lead tape. Lead tape is actually a better way because you can put the weight in a better position than adding it in the hosel. The other way would be to remove the heads and use shaft tip weights. They are available in 8 gram weights.
