The Trifecta of Club Design!
The Maltby TS3.5 forged irons were designed to compete with the current Players Distance iron sets currently gaining traction in the golf industry. Featuring stronger lofts and wider sole widths while maintaining similar mass and dimensional characteristics to the original TS3 irons. The TS3.5 features a very unique internal design throughout the set and is the only iron set produced that incorporates 3 different internal game improving materials Co-Forged behind the club face to optimize distance, dispersion, feel, trajectory control and overall playability!
Implementing The Design Concept!
The TS3.5 #4 iron thru the #8 iron feature (1) A Co-Forged tungsten weight in the toe for optimized cg locations (2) A strategically place Co-Forged CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) insert to optimize sound, feel and cg locations and (3) A high speed, lightweight, shock dampening polymer injected behind the entirety of the forged 1025C Carbon Steel club face to increase ball speeds and add amplified sound and feel feedback.
The TS3.5 #9 iron, pitching and attack wedges are Co-Forged with an internal tungsten toe weight and CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) inserts to optimize sound, trajectory, feel and center of gravity locations. Lastly, the Gap Wedge is Co-Forged with an internal tungsten weight to optimize the center of gravity for more consistent and controllable short iron ball flight trajectories.
Advanced Cavity Design!
The TS3.5 irons feature a
progressive dual cavity design that places more internal mass low and in the
toe in the #4 iron thru #8 iron. Using a mixture of tungsten and CMC (Ceramic
Matrix Composite), the TS3.5 cavity design in the #9 iron, Pitching, Attack and Gap wedges results in a slightly
higher center of gravity to optimize the scoring irons trajectory and feel in
each individual club head for improved distance, spin rates and trajectory
control.
Features:
- True Forged with a 1025 C Carbon Steel face and body using the most advanced multi-step process available.
- Tungsten weight Co-Forged into the toe of the clubhead optimizes CG location.
- Shock dampening polymer injected into the #4 Thru #8 irons enhances ball speeds and provides exceptional sound and feel.
- CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) insert placed strategically in #9, PW and AW to optimize sound, feel and cg location in the higher lofted irons. GW is solid 1025 Carbon Steel with tungsten co-forged internally to optimize cg location.
- Dual cavity design places more mass in the toe and lower of the #4 thru #8 irons and centered and slightly higher in the 9 thru GW, optimizing launch angle and feel in each club.
- Constant .900” sole width increases playability throughout the set for a wide range of player types and multiple turf conditions.
- Multi-Groove technology places more CNC milled square grooves on the face for improved consistency, trajectory and spin.
- Modern to slightly stronger lofts combined with the optimal center of gravity locations optimizes ball flight trajectory and distance.
- Recommended ferrule – 74PI (.370” Parallel) – 91TI (.355” Taper)
- Conforms with the Rules of Golf
- Note: This is a head only and not an assembled golf club
