Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Shaft Specifications

Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Silver Wood Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed, especially for mid priced shaft MR's top of the line made in japan shafts are always excellent and do what they say they will. I was a bit leary about buying one of their mid priced, not made in japan shafts but the price was too good. Put the 70+gm X-stiff in Bridgestone j40 430 driver head. The club is a sniper rifle, shaft is solid as a rock but still retains some feel which is impressive. I can take a full rip and not worry about the shaft twisting. Very impressed I hear the new tini one is even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very stable performance. Have been playing this in my driver (M1) for about a month. Improved trajectory and dispersion pattern. Does not improve my mechanics on "off days" however. Just confirms I suck that day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I put the shaft on my 14 yr old daughters Taylormade Aero burner and she loves it. It added more distance compare to her cobra driver and more roll. She hits the ball high and we had to tee the ball lower .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Shaft I bought this (Stiff, 70 gram) to replace the very light stock shaft in my 5 wood. It’s a great shaft. The weight allows me to feel the club better as I swing and I’m hitting better shots. I would recommend this shaft to anyone. The glossy black finish also adds visual appeal.

I have a Taylormade M1 driver with a fugikura pro 60 regular flex shaft which I slice most of the time. My M1 3 and 5 woods have kurokang 70fw shafts which I hit straight can I put this shaft in my driver?

Asked by: don d
You can put the MR0036 Kuro Kage Silver shaft in the driver. I do not know if the 70fw is a different build for the fairways or just the standard driver shaft trimmed for the fairway woods. It can be trimmed for fairway woods, but I don't know that if it is original to your fairway woods, if Taylor Made had a special build done for them for just fairway woods. If you try the MR0036, you would trim nothing from the tip for the driver.

I bought 2 d b m iron heads what would be a good shaft for them in graphite my swing speed is close to 80 on a good day am 70 yers old handicap 24

Asked by: Jerry
2DBM is a shaft code not a clubhead code. If you can tell me the name of the irons you have it will help me to know which heads you actually have. You could look at the Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen (MR0046) iron shafts in an A flex. They will match with any of our iron heads. https://www.golfworks.com/mitsubishi-rayon-kuro-kage-black-2nd-gen-iron-shafts/p/MR0046/

I need the shaft to be able to fit onto my TaylorMade R15. How would I do that?

Asked by: Nick
You need to also purchase the Taylor Made shaft adapter for the R15 (TM0023) to be installed on the shaft. Then you will be able to install this shaft into the R15 driver. https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/ We can install the adapter on this shaft for you and set the shafts up to your given specifications. If you call Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 they can help you with your order and get all your specifications.

I have a Ping Anser. Swing speed is around 102 at 55 years of age. This is a low spinning head to begin with. Would the stiff vs x-stiff in this shaft have a significant change in the spin? From 46 to 45 inches make a stiff into a stiff + (but not quite x

Asked by: Gary J
The shaft flex change from S to X would not have much if any change on spin. If you are asking about shortening a driver from 46" to 45" It would make the shaft play approximately a half a flex stiffer unless you added back the 6 swingweights that the club gets lighter when shortened from 46" to 45". Then the shaft would remain it's original flex.

I have a set of Ping G30. Driver, 3 & 5 wood, 4 Hybrid, 5-9 irons, 46 50 54 deg wedges.  need a stiff steel shaft.  Swing speed in the 90's.  what do you recommend and cost?

Asked by: Findog
If you are wanting steel shafts for all of these clubs there are only 2 steel wood shafts available We have the True Temper Dynamic Gold (UDGW) and the True Temper Command (TT202101). You could use True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts in all of these clubs. UDGW for the driver, 3 & 5 wood. DGI .355" taper tip iron shafts for the 4 hybrid, 5-9 irons and all the wedges. You would use the S300 flex in all of these shafts. You will see the costs of these shafts at these links. https://www.golfworks.com/true-temper-dynamic-gold-steel-wood-shafts/p/UDGW/ https://www.golfworks.com/true-temper-dynamic-gold-355-steel-iron-shafts/p/DGI/

Can I use this shaft for a fairway wood 16 deg. ?

Asked by: winesnob
Yes, the Kuro Kage Silver can be used for fairway woods. Trimming instructions for a #3 wood would be trim 1/2" from the tip before installation. For a 5 wood, trim 1" from the tip before installation. After installation, trim to final playing length from the butt end.
