Ping G30 Shaft Adaptor is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from G30 shaft adapter I bought two of these with the idea of putting them on a couple of shafts so I would have a couple of different options to try. First of all these are different then the adapter that is on the G30. They come with a fixed rubber ferrule so removing them without ruining the rubber ferrule is nearly impossible. The adapter on my G30 looked to be one piece. The first adapter I tried looked just the the second but after a few swings I noticed the head and grip were no longer aligned. I grabbed the head and grip and twisted and noticed the head would move about a 1/4" in both directions. The shaft was secure in the adapter but the adapter would turn inside the head. The second adapter held up just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on new G driver Great to have these available for Ping's newest driver. Pay attention to the tiny conical plugs Ping includes to plug up the hole in the tip of the shaft so that epoxy does not get into the shaft. I can see this is a good idea but fully plugging the tip can make the adaptor want to slip off the shaft due to the pressure of the epoxy between the shaft tip and the end of the adaptor. It is very hard to get the adaptor to stay on the shaft. The pressure of the epoxy drives the adaptor off the shaft. You might want to leave a little of the tip open or unplugged so that the adaptor is not driven off the shaft.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have a club repair guy re-glue first!!! The adapter is in two pieces. For a right handed golfer when you hit the ball it is threaded in an orientation that loosened the club head/outer sleeve. There was glue originally in between the sleeves but it failed and the threading orientation didn't help. My club guy used a couple different things to create more contact in between the sleeves and re-glued them and it works fine now. And I bought four adapters for different shafts and all four of these did this. Doesn't seem like an anomaly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits My G-30 Griver well. I purchased the ping G-30 shaft adaptor so I could change the shaft in my G-30 Ping Driver from the to soft Ping reg. flex shaft to a after market stiff one. Thanks to Golfworks I got it with in 5 days of placeing my order. It fit the Ping club head like a dream. This saved me a golf season of waiting for Golfsmith to get with the program. I was ready to trade in my Ping G30 for a different Driver but the stiff flex shaft change is keeping me in the fairway at least 65% of the time now. Great product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ping G30 or G adapter I am on my second adapter as both have broken loose at the metal adapter while the plastic ferrule is glues solid. As written by Clubmonkey above “The effective area that the shaft and epoxy meet is less and these are breaking loose”. My third adapter is coming off eBay at half the price, and hopefully less headaches.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New adapters with plastic ferrule...yuk! The first g30 adapters were all metal. This new version with a plastic ferrule are not good. The effective area that the shaft and epoxy meet is less and these are breaking loose if you are not careful. The old all metal versions were far superior and didn't need a ferrule if you reused it. Not a good change!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product....but Adapter works great! But, after trial don't use the rubber tip it creates an air pocket which makes it extremely hard to put the adapter on correctly. Also, put epoxy on the shaft! Ping's instruction booklet which is included- isn't that good

I have a Ping G30 SF Tec left handed driver with an A flex shaft.. Do I have to purchase a G30 shaft adaptor for each different shaft I wish to try?

Asked by: NDMiller
Yes you would have to purchase a G30 shaft adaptor for each shaft unless you want to reshaft the existing adaptor. We have our OEM Adaptor Saver Kit (GW0130) that works along with a graphite shaft puller for reshafting the adaptors. https://www.golfworks.com/oem-adaptor-saver-kit/p/GW0130/

Hi Jim, is the tip plug mentioned in some of the reviews necessary?  I suppose with the "built-in ferrule" it is more difficult to get the epoxy applied to the shaft tip into the adaptor hence the tip plug to keep more epoxy in the adaptor.

Asked by: Pat
I can see where the plug can create an air lock when installing the shaft and depending on which epoxy is being used it could be more of an issue. A thinner epoxy that flows would work better with the plug. I would not hesitate to assemble without installing the plug. I have always liked a small plug of epoxy in the tip end of the shaft. You just do not want so much epoxy that it extends up inside the shaft above the top of the adaptor in this case or the top of the hosel. I notice the plug is only included with the PGC001 adaptor.
