Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what is suppose to do If you are in the business of collecting expensive fancy tools then this item is not for you. However if you need to insert few grams of weight onto the shaft before you put epoxy to work this is exactly what you need. Cheap and accurate. Remeasured swing weight of all my assembled clubs on fancy expensive golf store scale and they are all exactly as on this cheap one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I had one of the more expensive scales from golf works and used it for over twenty years . We moved and somehow it got tossed. I thought I'd save a little money and get this "economy" scale but it's a piece of junk and I just had to go ahead and order the more expensive one again. Don't waste your money on this one, get the better more expensive one. Anybody want one cheap? I'll never use it except to maybe scrape mud or ice.

What's the best way to measure swing weight with an ungripped club using this scale before final assembly? Could I use rubber bands to hold grip to shaft?

Asked by: doc
I keep some old split groups that I've taken off other clubs to use for swing weighting.  Make sure they are pressed all the way down on the butt end of the club. I hold them on with a couple rubber bands to simulate the weight of the tape, and to hold them in place.

I was thinking about placing a small magnetic bubble level on the scale, in order to precisely measure when it reaches parallel. The bubble level weighs only 8.5g. Where should I attach this level in order to not affect the swingweight measurement?

Asked by: AspiringGolfer
You would want it to straddle the balance point of the scale so that it would not effect a swingweight reading. With this scale you also need to make sure the surface it is sitting on is level.
